This past weekend, I had the opportunity to represent Her Campus Ohio U at the 8th annual Her Conference (and the 10th birthday of Her Campus!). Going with my sister, we made a whole weekend of it. We spent our first day (Friday) in Manhattan, our second day at the conference in Brooklyn and our third and final day exploring the DUMBO, Brooklyn (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass). The conference (and our reason for going to New York) was absolutely amazing. We were able to listen to amazing speakers, panels and I was able to network with other college-aged women, all while fangirling over the founders of Her Campus and Amber Tamblyn.
Below is a video slideshow with photos from the entire trip, as well as an interactive map of every place we were able to go and explore with notes of the experience. While we hit many key spots, there was so much more that we wanted to explore. I guess we'll just have to go back ?
To help you fully understand how fast paced and exhausting this trip was, we walked 21,845 steps (9.25 mi) on Friday, 8,557 (3.84 mi) on Saturday, and 14,232 (6.29 mi) on Sunday while carrying backpacks with all of our belongings on Friday and Sunday ?
